The Story Lab partnered with GQ to launch a series called Two Whiskies With..., which saw Jack Whitehall interview a range of first-class talent from the world of sport, music and film. Aside from providing a playful insight into the men in a laid-back setting, the series also carries a message for responsible drinking, marking something of a step away from the way in which brands typically tackle the subject.
Working closely with the team at Conde Nast, we produced a series of amusing and informal discussions in which David Beckham, Luke Evans (of The Fast and the Furious and The Hobbit), and Brit Award-winner Tom Odell discuss their drinks preferences, prioritising quality over quantity, and ultimately turn down a second drink in favour of savouring the first one.
The content is designed to live natively on GQ video while also working for Haig Club on their owned global and social media channels. Two Whiskies With… was the third and final content series in the partnership and was preceded by The One which centered on the idea of finding the ideal Haig Club cocktail recipe when the target audience is looking for that perfect single drink, and A Night and Day in… which saw Jack Guinness drinking sensibly in order to get up early and explore some of Europe’s finest cities – Madrid, Lisbon and London – the following morning.
